මේ අලුත් පහසුකම හරහා ඔයා Email එක මාරු කළාම:
1. අලුත් නම Boss වෙනවා: ඔයා දාන අලුත් නම ඔයාගේ ප්රධාන (Primary) ඊමේල් එක වෙනවා.
2. ඩේටා නැති වෙන්නෙ නෑ: ඔයාගේ Google Photos, Drive Files සහ පරණ Emails හැමදේම අලුත් නම යටතේ සුරක්ෂිතව තියෙනවා.
3. පරණ නමත් වැඩ: පරණ Email එක ඔයාගේ Account එකටම 'Alias' එකක් (අන්වර්ථ නමක්) විදියට සම්බන්ධ වෙලා තියෙනවා. ඒ කියන්නේ කවුරු හරි පරණ එකට මේල් කළත්, ඒක කෙලින්ම එන්නේ ඔයාගේ අලුත් Inbox එකටමයි. Magic වගේ නේද?
පොඩි කොන්දේසි ටිකක් තියෙනවා! මේ චාන්ස් එක දෙන ගමන් Google ලා නීති ටිකකුත් දාලා තියෙනවා.
1. කාල සීමාව: එක පාරක් නම වෙනස් කළොත්, ආයෙම වෙනස් කරන්න මාස 12ක් (අවුරුද්දක්) ඉන්න ඕන. ඒ නිසා හදිස්සි නොවී හොඳ නමක් තෝරගන්න.
2. උපරිම වාර ගණන: මුළු ජීවිත කාලෙටම නම වෙනස් කරන්න පුළුවන් 3 පාරක් විතරයි.
3. නම ඔයාගෙමයි: ඔයා අයින් කරන පරණ Email නම වෙන කාටවත් කවදාවත් ගන්න බෑ. ඒක සදාකාලිකවම ඔයාගෙ Account එකට බැඳිලා තියෙනවා.
මටත් මේක ලැබිලාද කියලා බලන්නේ කොහොමද? මේ පහසුකම තාම ලෝකේ පුරා ටිකෙන් ටික තමයි ලැබෙමින් යන්නේ (Rolling out). ඔයාටත් ලැබිලාද කියලා බලන්න:
1. ඔයාගේ Google Account Settings වලට යන්න.
2. එතන Personal Info කියන ටැබ් එක ඔබන්න.
3. එකේ Contact Info යටතේ තියෙන Email කියන තැන ක්ලික් කරන්න.
4. එතන Google Account Email කියන තැන ඉස්සරහින් 'Edit' (පෑනක සලකුණ) තියෙනවා නම්, සුභ පැතුම්! ඔයාට Email එක මාරු කරන්න පුළුවන්.
විශේෂයෙන් මතක තියාගන්න:
ඔයා පරණ Email එක Facebook, Instagram හෝ බැංකු ගිණුම් වලට දීලා තියෙනවා නම්, Email එක මාරු කළාට පස්සේ හිමීට ඒ තැන්වලත් අලුත් Email එක update කරගන්න අමතක කරන්න එපා. කැමති නම් දැන්ම ගිහින් බලන්න ඔයාට මේ Option එක ඇවිත්ද කියලා! මෙම පහසුකම Google විසින් ඉතා සීමිත පිරිසකට හෝ යම් යම් කලාපවලට පමණක් අත්හදා බැලීමක් ලෙස ලබා දෙන බවට වාර්තා වේ. සාමාන්යයෙන් Google ප්රතිපත්තිය අනුව `@gmail.com` ලිපිනයක් සංස්කරණය කිරීමට ඉඩ නොදෙයි. එබැවින් ඔබේ ගිණුමේ "Edit" බොත්තම නොමැති නම්, මෙම පහසුකම ඔබට තවමත් සක්රීය වී නොමැත.
